Whisper | 30x40 Acrylic Framed

In Algonquin Park this beaver is busy hauling a tree branch through the shadows toward his dam. It was so quiet that you felt as if you must whisper. No traffic.  No people. No wind. Just clear and cool and still. 
 
Beavers are a benefit to our ecosystems. They build dams and ponds, creating wetlands and habitat for other animals, birds, amphibians, insects. Their dams act as filters, cleaning our water. They help lessen the effects of drought and flooding by creating these large sponge-like areas where water can be stored and slowly released.
