Simplify the general shapes of the blossoms. Eg. Is it a plate (daisy), cup (rose), wine glass(tulip), cone (lily). This will help the understanding of light and shadow on them.
Paint in steps:
a-shape (outline)
b-form (light to dark shading)
c-details
Start with filling in the shape of the masses using a brush rather than drawing an outline, keeping it loose.
Only show the outline of some of the flowers.
Be more detailed on the centre of interest. Have the most contrast here.
Keep details in the shadows to a minimum.
